As a family who goes through A LOT of bananas, we usually never have left over, over-ripe bananas. Most times I'm running to the store half way through the week to go get more. But for some reason this week I happened to have several over-ripe bananas. And you know what that means -- making some delicious treat and getting in some baking time.
I was so tired of doing the same old banana bread recipe. I started searching for recipes, and lo and behold -- I found one that sounded so delicious I wanted to make it immediately.
I found a Carla's Confections and her Donut Recipe -- oh yum!
I made some modifications to the recipe to make them a teensy bit healthier for breakfast :) Because let's face it, who doesn't love donuts?!?
The following recipe is from Carla's Confections (with my modifications):
Baked Banana Bread Donuts with Chocolate Drizzle | Print Recipe
makes about 1 1/2 dozen
for the drizzle: 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips and as much vegetable oil as needed to get drizzling consistency
